The Marple Band competed in a new brass band concert at Darley Dale in the Peak District on Sunday 6th November.
Up against tough opposition with Yorkshire Imps just promoted to the Championship Section from January and other 1st Section bands. The band had their work cut out.
A superb performance of Glorifico meant they gained superb 2nd place.

“Well played everyone. Well worth all the hard work. Very proud of our performance. We came away with the certificate and an £80 cheque. Yorkshire Imps won. They go up next year. Old Silkstone came 3rd – they’re in 1st and Chapeltown were 4th again 1st sec. They’re all Yorkshire area bands.”
