On Sunday 27th April, the band played at their annual Spring Concert in Marple Senior Citizens Hall.

My granddaughter and I spent an enjoyable evening on Saturday listening to The Marple Brass Band playing at St Paul’s Church, Compstall. It was a brilliant choice of program, with something for everyone.

The band competed in the Second Section at the North West Regional Final at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool.

Marple Band, superbly led by their MD Nick Birch put on a great free concert at Marple Sports Club on Sunday afternoon.

The Marple Band have had a busy couple of weeks with Christmas concerts and carolling.

Attending Marple’s Remembrance Day service this year was a profoundly moving experience, and a significant part of that was thanks to the exceptional performance by The Marple Band.

Marple Band started proceedings at the Marple Food Festival with style and class. Our new MD Nick Birch made his mark with a fabulous programme which thoroughly entertained the local community.
