The band always enjoy playing at the bandstand in Buxton and this was no exception. As usual, we were very lucky with the weather and although the storm clouds were looming, the sun shone down on everyone for the duration of the concert.
The large, appreciative audience enjoyed a wide variety of high-quality music and there was excellent feedback from everyone I spoke to. Many were seen to be joining in singing when they knew the words, especially the finale of Sweet Caroline. Several who are regular attendees at these weekly concerts said that this was one of the best bands they had heard play this year.
