We arrived in Blackpool at 9am ready for the bands final rehearsal in the pouring rain (nobody won the prize for spotting the tower first, it was too cloudy to see).

This was our first official concert since being newly promoted to the 1st Section.

The Marple Band is very proud to have been promoted to the 1st Section as of January 1st 2020.

The Marple Band have been extremely fortunate to have been the recipient of a few grants at the end of 2019 and the start of 2020.

Following our very long day at Whit Friday on the 14th June, we decided to do it all again in Morley on Sunday 16th June.

I was incredibly lucky to join Marple Band, as a supporter, for Whit Friday 2019. Honestly, I wasn’t sure I was looking forward to being outside for most of the evening as it had done nothing but rain all week

We are all saddened to hear of the passing away of our dear friend and bandsman Dennis.

What a fantastic way to celebrate the start of Kate and Daniel Leatherbarrow’s life together.

The Marple Bierkeller Band, Piste Hägen Brass, could have been playing in any German town on Friday

This year the North West Brass Band Association Regional Finals were held on Sunday 24th February at the Winter Gardens in Blackpool.
